1. Al-Mg alloy
The performance characteristics of Al-Mg aluminum alloy are: good mechanical properties at room temperature, strong corrosion resistance, poor casting properties, high fluctuations in mechanical properties and wall thickness effects; long-term use, alloying due to aging The plasticity is degraded, and even the die-casting part is cracked; the tendency of the stress-corrosion cracking of the die-casting part is also large.
Al-Zn aluminum alloy die-casting parts can obtain higher mechanical properties after natural aging. When the mass fraction of zinc is more than 10%, the strength is remarkably improved. The disadvantage of this alloy is its poor corrosion resistance, tendency to stress corrosion, and hot cracking during die casting. The commonly used Y401 alloy has good fluidity and is easy to fill the cavity.
3. Al-Si alloy
Because the Al-Si aluminum alloy has the characteristics of small crystallization temperature interval, large latent heat of solidification in the silicon phase of the alloy, large specific heat capacity and small linear shrinkage coefficient, the test also shows that the Al-Si eutectic is near its freezing point. The temperature still maintains good plasticity, which is not found in other aluminum alloys. Since the Al-Si eutectic can better meet the requirements of both mechanical properties and casting properties, Al-Si alloy is currently the most widely used die-cast aluminum alloy.
