1.In various light-curing printing technologies, there is a printing method called DLP (digital photo-curing process), which is scanned by layer-by-layer scanning. However, the light-cured 3D printing product has the defect that only the resin can be printed at present, the strength is low, the decoration can only be made, the sculpture is used as an ornament, and the structural member can not be made.
2. In the traditional FDM printer, the structure of Ulitmaker printer is faster than that of Makerbot,Reprap,Prusa and so on. Because they put the wire feeder behind the machine, the weight of the whole extruder is reduced a lot, and it can run faster. However, there is also a defect in this wire feeding structure. The wire is sent from behind the printer to the extrusion head, and the wire has a long path to go in the catheter, which is prone to the problem of wire sticking in the catheter. But the Ultimaker printer is indeed faster than the average printer.
3, slicing software. Makerware slice printing time is generally much faster than Cura slicing, especially when there are many surfaces, the printing time can be shortened by about 30% (approximate value). The main reason is that the Makerware slicing algorithm is optimized and takes fewer routes where there is a surface. Unlike when Cura, prints to the surface, it prints a lot of supplements on the inner surface of the surface like an old woman with a foot wrapping. But the problem with Makerware is that it’s not open source, and slicing is slow.
