What materials are commonly used in Prototype processing?

Prototype processing and parts processing are common in the industrial market, and it is also a process that product research and development must go through. Metal prototype processing common is aluminum alloy and stainless steel two kinds, the density of aluminum alloy is low, but high strength, good processing performance, excellent welding characteristics and electroplating, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and processing after deformation, dense material without defects and easy polishing, coloring film easily, fine characteristics, such as oxidation effect is good after sandblasting oxidation treatment, the effect will be better.

 

Stainless steel resistance to air, steam, water and other weak corrosion medium, acid, alkali resistance, high density, corrosion resistance characteristics are better, not easy to damage.

 

Commonly used plastic material of ABS is a kind of engineering plastics, plastic material which are frequently used in prototype processing industry, impact resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties, but also has easy processing, products good size stability, surface gloss, can tear open a processing, can satisfy the basic requirement of industrial products.

 

POM: also known as saigang, from this name, it is a kind of hard and dense material with smooth surface and good glossiness, with good bending strength, fatigue strength and abrasion resistance. It is suitable for making some gear parts.

 

PMMA: commonly known as acrylic, also called plexiglass, transparency is better, transparent than PC material, and good heat resistance.

   

PA: also known as nylon, high mechanical strength, good toughness, no viscose water, disassembly processing is not recommended.

PC: high impact strength, good dimensional stability, colorless and transparent, good pigmentation, good wear resistance, can withstand high temperature, is a transparent material.


PP: polypropylene, low density, hardness, hardness and heat resistance are better than low-pressure polyethylene, can be used at the temperature of about 100°.

   

PPS: is a high temperature resistant material, can be at the temperature of 230 degrees without deformation.
